The Goodwill Industries Hall of Fame
"Will Courtney, a Fort Worth businessman and real estate developer, was a staunch supporter of and volunteer with Goodwill on the local, national, and international levels for more than half a century. He began his service on the board of directors for the Fort Worth Goodwill in 1964. He went on to serve as a member of Goodwill's national board for 16 years. He was well-known for his fundraising capabilities, spearheading an $8.5 million capital campaign that was used to fund the construction of several local Goodwill facilities. Courtney also served on the capital campaign committee for Goodwill's National Headquarters, securing major gifts from individuals and organizations. Affectionately known as "Mr. Goodwill," Courtney wore custom-made, Goodwill-logoed cowboy boots, and advocated for the nonprofit wherever he went." Catherine carries on her father's legacy serving on the Board of Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth.
